REMOTE MANAGEMENT
Dedicated ILO Remote Management Port
- A dedicated chip that controls the server even when it is turned-off - Allows a remote user to connect to a local video console via a web-browser to simulate all actions an administrator takes when it is physically in front of the server: power on/off the server, access BIOS, plugs a DVD etc. - Allows a folder, ISO or DVD connected from everywhere on the Internet to become a boot device - The ILO chip has a dedicated Ethernet port connected to a separate out-of-band network that uses different switches, routers and public IP addresses than the Internet production network.
